Back at the studio

I was away from the studio for so long that when I went back last week I was at a loss for what to do. Sort of wandered around and reorganized. I then decided to finish up some work I had started awhile back until I could figure out what I wanted to do next. I started this piece 3 years ago for a show and never finished it. I am now going to finish it and have worked on it for several days. Not doing anything else until I finish. oil Patel on gessoed board about 15" x 26".

  1. Nice composition here, I like the meandering pathway made by the floats! Looking forward to seeing it finished.

  2. This painting is very beautiful. I enjoyed the trappings of the boat, the vegetation, finally, I liked everything.

  3. Beautiful painting, Patricia. Love the colors and subject. Oil pastels is a very difficult medium ...you're excellent with it.!

  5. Great comeback! I find the same thing about being away from the studio for awhile. Once I return I begin with reorganizing and then my brain begins to think creatively again before I can start something new. This is a great painting. Compositional design is beautiful. Technique is beautiful. It makes me want to get to a big body of water ASAP.
