finished 2nd 6"x6"


I finished my second small painting, 6"x6" oil pastel on gessoed board. Not making 2 a week yet but at least one per week.

Gourd



I am working up to 2 little paintings a week. I did get one done this week and started the sketch for another which will be worked on next week. Even if I get one per week, I'll feel good.

Finish, sort of



I finally got the pomegranate out and finished it, I think. I may crop it as I think the composition was the issue I had with this all along. It is on board, so it will have to be sawed. I'll keep looking at it. One image is the whole thing and the other is the cropped. I have gessoed 12 6x6 hardboards to start at least 2 paintings a week.

Exhibit at the Narrows


I am part of an exhibit at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA during the month of January.
"Seasoned Palette: Artists with an Appetite for Nature" Jan. 4 - 30, 2010.
Opening Reception: Jan. 10, 2-4 pm
The exhibition of work is curated by Sue Aygarn-Kowalski.
Fourteen artists will exhibit thematic works inspired by nature's quiet grandeur revolving around the earth, water, and sky in oil, acryllic, pastel, and watercolor.
12 of my oil pastels will be in the show including the painting shown.
