I have no painting this week, though I did start a new one at my studio but was sidetracked by our big storm. We were exceedingly fortunate not to have lost our power. Our daughter and family from a neighboring town came to stay here, get warm, shower and enjoy. The dogs came too. We had a good time...also friends came to shower and eat warm food. We were happy to have them all.
We needed a small front end loader to take the snow from our driveway, our plow guy has one.
Time to regroup and hopefully get to the studio this week.
This picture is the morning after the storm....hard to see, but there is a 5 foot drift in ftont of the tree. I love going out in the morning after a storm and just taking in the 'silence'. I don't think there is any other silence like it....just amazing.
It looks like a fairy tale landscape, so good you didn't loose the power !
ReplyDeleteYes, very good, Jane. I like your watercolor portraits.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the perfect "Winter Wonderland"!! I only got a foot of snow, which was just perfect...and like you said the "silence" is amazing after a storm!
ReplyDeleteWow look at that snow!! We haven't even got a drizzle of snow here near Houston. Looks like an awesome place to attempt a plein air and then head for the Hot Chocolate!!

Yes, a lot of snow....but it has melted fast, due to a couple of rain storms. Today the sun is shining and that March sun will do its work.
