Day 6

I cheated a little today and posted one I did awhile ago. Life does happen though not all bad. I have some I am working on and will post a new one tomorrow.

Day 5

Well I got behind a little. stuff going on and I will probably get behind again as I have to have a small surgical procedure done soon. However, I may try to get ahead.

Day 4

I really didn't think I would finish this, but here it is. I may go back and tweak it some as I was fighting with the surface, not as smooth as I like it.
6" x 6" oil pastel on gessoed hardboard. Used my own gesso and it has a lot of texture.

Day 3

This seemed fitting for today. 16" of snow on the ground and bitter cold.

Day 2

This is an oil pastel, 9 x 12 on colofix paper.
I brought my art supplies home from the studio yesterday, so will get going on #3 today as the snow fall.

Day 1

I have signed up to do the 20 paintings in 30 days challenge by Leslie Saeta. It was a lot of fun last year and even though I will be working from home this month, I hope to get them done. I have chosen to do boats, and am still gathering pictures.

I am cheating a little as I finished this before I got sick.....but it is a start.

Mosaic

Long time since I have been here and my studio. Ran into a serious health problem on our trip to Italy. I became very ill on the plane due to oxygen depravation. I spent 7 days in a hospital in Zurich., then came home with a doctor and oxygen, fine trip back. I am currently going through bunches of tests to determine cause and treatment.
I was really impressed with all the art around Zurich. The hospital grounds had sculptures everywhere. and the hospital itself had paintings thoughout the halls, including children's and one huge mosaic which was vey impressive. I hope to be back to my studio soon.
